GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION

COURSE 2 DESCRIPTION
Loan portfolio management (LPM) is the process by which risks that are inherent in the credit process are managed and controlled on a group basis as against the individual.

This module discusses the elements of an effective Loan Portfolio Management framework and process. It emphasizes that the identification and management of risk among groups of loans may be at least as important as the risk inherent in individual loans and that managing loans at the portfolio level will result in a high-quality risk asset as group risk peculiarities are identified and addressed.
